Cub Scout Day Camp

Joe had his first experience at going to Day Camp. Over the years he has watched Jacob and "B" go and has had to wait patiently for his turn. He came home dirty, singing camp songs over and over again, and of course jute, jute, jute tying. He was lucky that the weather was not too hot.

Boy Scout Camp

The house was very quiet for the week that Jacob and "B" were gone at Scout Camp. They left early(4:00 am) Monday morning for Camp Baldwin. This was "B's" first time being gone a week from home. He did great!! Much better than I , but I'm a wimp when it comes to being away from my kids. They each worked very hard at camp and earned 5 merit badges each. It was nice to have them back home.

My hard working boys

In the summer months we have to get and split our wood for the winter. We burn alot of wood. Last year we burned about 5 cords. It's alot of work but soooo worth it!! This year we have Jacob who is very proud of his growing muscles, "B" who loves really hard work, and Joe who wants to be like his brothers, do a large sum of wood themselves. They split it, hauled it, stacked it, and cleaned everything up. It took them about 2 days to finish all of it. I must say we were very proud of them as they were proud of themselves too. It was absolutily wonderful to see them work so hard....together.

Playing with my camera

Rosie is the only one in the family who volunteers to smile and pose for pictures. I thought these turned out pretty good, considering I'm still in the first grade at taking pictures.
