We have had a Thanksgiving family tradition for about 10 years. We always go somewheres in our camping trailer. We left on Wednesday when the kids got home from school and didn't come home until Sunday. We ate the traditional turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, rolls and pumpkin pie. This year we went to Newport (Beverly Beach). We had a wonderful time and did a lot of family things. We watched movies, read, went for walks and bike rides, shopping, and sight seeing. On Sunday we went to the Newport ward. We really enjoy being visitors in other wards. It was a great Thanksgiving weekend!!!!

No more soccer practices and games. We are a little sad that the season is over but it's nice to have more time at home. Jacob's team finished the season with a record of 7-3-1. His team did an AWESOME job!! This was his last year to have coach Morgan and Coach Pat. He has had them as a coach for 4 years. They are amazing and we will miss them. Jacob will be trying out for the High School team next year.

Jacob and "B's" scout troop had a fundraiser to sell Christmas wreaths for scout camp. They needed to sell 25 wreaths each to pay for their fee to summer camp. With a lot of hard work and cold wet nights they reached there goal and sold 50 together. HURRAY!!! When we got the wreaths we had to put the pinecones and bows on them. Which took much of the day. Thanks to all of those who bought a wreath from Jacob and "B".

In September we went to Barview Jetty park with my Sister and her family. I forgot to put them on my blog , but after all, I'm just new at all this. We had a wonderful time. The weather was warm and and sunny. We played on the beach, ran down the famous "Sand Hill" and of course went to the Tillomook Cheese Factory for an ice cream. I just love these Beach Weekend get-a-way's.

At Rosie's school they had what they call an "Indian potlatch. It's an Indian celebration with dancing and singing. Rosie was given the chance to sing a solo in front of a large audience. She didn't seem nervous at all and we think she did an amazing job. We think she also has a great voice too.
