Summer fun!!!

It was a beautiful sunny day at Hagg lake!! We had so much fun being out on the boat and playing in the water. We all came home with a little sunburn but it was worth it!! Jacob and "B" were able to get up on the wake board for the first time.

Stitches on Sunday

On Fathers day just 10 minutes before church, "B" tripped over a ball and cut his finger on the door knob. I didn't know at first how bad is was until after I washed it and then I realized this wasn't just a little cut. "B" had prepared to give his first talk in Sacrament meeting and he was excited to give it. He said it didn't hurt too bad and could go to the Dr.'s after his talk. Well, he ended up giving a great talk about the importance of Fathers in the home then Aaron took him in. He ended up needing 5 stitches. He was a real trooper!!!

8th grade graduation!!

Jacob is now in High School!!! I can't believe it.
I'm not a big fan of Preschool, Kindergarten, 6th grade and 8th grade graduation ceremonies.
I think they can get a bit out of hand. We did (of course) go to Jacob's graduation ceremony but it was super long and really really crowded. There was about 490 8th grade students that we had to sit through and here there names be called. Yikes!!!! I thought it would never end. We are very proud of Jacob for having a 4. for the entire year.

I finally found the poem given by Elder M. Russell Ballard at Stake Conferance

A mighty wind blew night and day

It stole the oak tree's leaves away

Then snapped it's boughs and pulled its bark

Until the oak was tired and stark

But still the oak tree held its ground

While other trees fell all around.

The weary wind gave up and spoke.

How can you still be standing Oak?

The oak tree said, I know that you

But I have roots stretched in the earth
